My "Glass Half Full" Girl...

I love that my 13 year old can school me when it comes to attitude. Where I see weeds, she sees spontaneous blooms. Where I see struggles, she sees adventure. And when I feel shame for my past mistakes, she has forgotten them all and remembers only the "beauty in the ashes". Oh, how I adore this girl!

Where I Come From
I come from a little house surrounded by the forest and horses.
I come from the smell of fresh air and grass.
I come from two loving people, Steve and Renee.
I come from splashing in the creek and running through the woods.
I come from a 45 min drive to see my beloved Church Family.
I come from a giving Grandma who will always care.
I come from a Grandpa who calls me "sis" and loves me to the moon.
I come from a family who gives everything for me.
I come from a family who is in love with Jesus Christ.
I come from a little girl who loves her God.
This is where I come from.

She makes me want to live better. <3 To laugh harder, forgive faster and love bigger.

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing...Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. " 1 Thessalonians 5:11, 16-18

He is who He says He is...

"He is Elohim Creator, Omnipotent who rules,
Sovereign King of Glory and earth is His footstool.
He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end,
He sends forth lighting that later checks back in with Him.

He speaks worlds into existence and spins them out in space,
He gives orders to the morning and shows the dawn it's place.
He prophesies the future and orders it fulfilled,
He bears fruit from a landscape that man has never tilled.

He feeds the beasts of the field from the palm of His hand,
He watches while they bear their young then teaches them to stand.
He gives the seas their boundaries and hides His creatures deep,
He teaches eagles how to fly and nest upon the steep.

He makes the clouds His chariot,
and rides on wings of wind.
He champions the victim,
and brings proud men to end.

He is Emmanuel God with us come to earth through Christ.
He is the Kinsman Redeemer who paid the slave man's price.
He is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and worthy is the Lamb.
He holds the keys to life eternal where the dead in Christ now stand.
He is enthroned between the cherub and great is His reward,
the devil His defeated foe, the weapon His swift sword.

This story has a moral so I'll hasten less you tire.
Whoever you perceived He is-
You might aim a little higher."

Stopped cold again.

Help Me Forgive

When rage and fury overwhelm my heart,
It’s time to look to God’s own Holy Word.
I search the Bible for His good advice;
My will to His commands must be deferred.

In Romans God reveals His love for me;
In all things God works only for my good;
He gives me blessings I can’t understand;
I’d be peaceful if I’d do the things I should.

Jesus forgave so much; why then can’t I?
I want to mold my life after His own.
I pray, I try, but my sinful nature wins;
Lord, help me, I can’t do this thing alone.

In Colossians, I read about the peace of Christ;
Oh, how I long to feel it in my heart.
All I have to do is to forgive,
But Lord, it seems I don’t know where to start.

I need to walk a mile in the other’s shoes;
They’re doing what they think they have to do.
I know some problems are blessings in disguise,
But Lord, sometimes I feel so doggone blue.

Ephesians says "forgive as the Lord forgave you;
Get rid of anger and every form of malice."
I’d love to just let go and release it all,
But upon my heart is a wound that’s become a callus.

I’ll keep praying, trying, Lord, no matter what;
I’m determined to let go and relinquish blame;
Some day, I’ll say, and be truly sincere:
"I forgive it all in Jesus’ precious name."

(Romans 8:28, Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:31)

Yeah, I know...way too hard sometimes, but totally has to happen.
