Treasure each moment...

I am not a big fan of forwarded messages, but this one struck me, maybe due to the time of year. As one year ends and a new one dawns, I can't help but realize how short our time here really is. Most of the time I think, "Thank God we only have to spend one lifetime on this forlorn planet", dreaming of heaven and what kind of place God truly created me for, but at these seasons- when the passage of time is marked with reflection, I can't help but wish for a few extra moments to love my family, relish relationships, and be God's hands to THIS world.
Help me, Lord, to not squander the time I have.

TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE.
"To realize the value of a sister/brother:
Ask someone who doesn't have one.

To realize the value of ten years:
Ask a newly divorced couple.

To realize the value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize The value of one year:
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

To realize the value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize the value of one month:
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of one minute:
Ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize the value of one-second:
Ask a person who has survived an accident.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:
Lose One.

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have."
